Kerala nun, expelled from church in 2019, becomes lawyer at 60

Sister Lucy Kalapura, expelled from her convent in 2019 for protesting against a bishop accused of rape, enrolled as a lawyer at the age of 60. She received her certificate from the Bar Council of Kerala. "It was not an easy journey. I hope to give voice and legal support to women who have had to endure injustice," she said.
