Kerala Prisons DIG MK Vinod Kumar suspended over parole bribes

Kerala Home Department has placed Prisons and Correctional Services DIG MK Vinod Kumar under suspension. This is following the registration of a corruption case against him by Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. He has been accused of accepting bribes from prisoners and their relatives, in return for facilitating parole and extending special privileges inside jails.
