Retired professor Dr Anil Kumar from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram lost ₹1 lakh after scammers posing as ICICI Prudential officials allegedly promised to renew his lapsed insurance policy. A woman claiming to be Roshni Sharma said it was the last day to pay. The scammers allegedly used fake documents and WhatsApp profiles before Kumar realised the fraud and approached cyber police.
