Kerala records highest rainfall in 6 decades in 2021 with 110% excess rain

Kerala received 3,523.3 mm rainfall till November 24 this year which is the highest rainfall in the state in six decades with 110% excess rain from the north-west monsoon, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data. The previous highest rainfall in Kerala was 4,257 mm, recorded in 1961. Kerala in 2018 had recorded a rainfall of 3,518.9 mm.
