Kerala renames mental hospitals as 'Happiness & Wellness Centres'

Kerala is renaming its government-run mental hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Kozhikode as 'Happiness and Wellness Centres'. The move aims to create better facilities and focus on prevention, counselling, stress management and emotional well-being. The initiative follows concerns raised by the Kerala High Court over poor conditions at these institutions.
