Kerala Secretariat's 'protest gate' reopened after a decade

The Kerala Secretariat's North Gate, known as the 'protest gate', was reopened on Tuesday after being closed for nearly 10 years of LDF rule. Soon after reopening, newly sworn-in Chief Minister VD Satheesan exited through the gate. The gate had also been briefly opened in 2016 when the first Pinarayi Vijayan-led government came to power in the state.
