Kerala terminates services of 432 medical staff for unauthorised leave

Kerala government has terminated 432 medical personnel from service, including 385 doctors, who were on unauthorised leave for years, Health Minister KK Shailaja Teacher said on Saturday. She added the decision was taken as amid COVID-19, services of doctors and other health staff were needed most but the terminated employees hadn't shown any inclination to join duty despite given opportunities.
