Kerala to introduce India’s first light tram network in Kochi

The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is planning to introduce India's first light tram network in the city to provide affordable and sustainable transportation options. The light tram route will be a 6.2 km stretch covering MG Road, Thevara, High Court and Shanmugham Road. The light trams are designed to be electric-hybrid and can be fully recharged in six minutes.
