Kerala's Sabarimala temple opens, 30,000 devotees visit on eve of pilgrimage season

Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple in Kerala's Sabarimala was opened on Wednesday evening on the eve of the annual Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. The season is expected to see a 40-50% rise in devotees in the absence of COVID-19 restrictions. Travancore Devaswom Board President K Anandagopan said 30,000 devotees turned up for darshan on Wednesday evening.
