Keymer wins Super Chess Classic 2026, Praggnanandhaa finishes 5th

German Grandmaster Vincent Keymer won the Super Chess Classic Romania 2026 after defeating Dutch Grandmaster Jorden van Foreest in the final round. Keymer finished with 6/9 points, earning 7.8 rating points and calling it his biggest classical tournament victory. Fabiano Caruana finished second after a draw with Vachier-Lagrave, while Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa ended joint-fifth with 4.5 points.
