KGMU study finds drug resistant TB in skin TB patients

A KGMU study of 54 skin TB patients found drug-resistant TB in seven cases. Researchers noted that skin TB can be difficult to diagnose and may be mistaken for other skin conditions. Experts stressed the need for tests such as CBNAAT, culture and drug susceptibility testing for early detection and proper treatment of drug-resistant TB.
