Kharge seeks 25-year freeze on Lok Sabha seat strength, writes to PM Modi

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge urged PM Narendra Modi to freeze the Lok Sabha strength for 25 years and convene an all-party meeting on the delimitation exercise. In a letter reacting to the 131st Amendment Bill, 2026, linking women's reservation to Lok Sabha seat expansion, Kharge said, "Don't again try and bulldoze as you attempted on April 16 and 17, 2026."
