Khasi and Garo languages to be added to AI translation app

The Meghalaya government signed an MoU with MeitY to integrate Garo and Khasi languages into the BHASHINI platform. CM Conrad Sangma called it transformative for governance, education, tourism and inclusion. A State Language Mission will oversee implementation. Khasi is already live on BHASHINI, while Garo is being developed through AI-driven data collection.
