Kids under 5 years face nearly 3x risk of illness from unsafe food than older kids, adults

The World Health Organization on World Food Safety Day said that children aged less than five years face almost three times the risk of illness from unsafe food than older children and adults. Despite being just 9% of the global population, these kids make up 29% of cases of food-borne diseases, particularly diarrhoeal diseases, which can be deadly for them.
