Kimi K3 built using 20,000 US-made Nvidia chips under Moonshot-Alibaba deal: Report

Chinese AI startup Moonshot used 20,000 Nvidia chips to create the world's largest open-weight AI model, Kimi K3, Bloomberg reported. The firm reportedly secured access to the chips through a cloud computing agreement with Alibaba Group. The report also said Moonshot has accessed Nvidia Blackwell chips through Southeast Asia and is seeking additional chips to train its next model.
