KIMSHEALTH performs rare lung surgery successfully in Trivandrum

A 49-year-old Tamil Nadu woman recovered after a high-risk pulmonary thromboendarterectomy at KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum. Led by Dr Shaji Palangadan, the surgery removed life-threatening lung clots caused by CTEPH. After an 8-hour procedure, her oxygen levels normalised, and she was discharged in stable condition following intensive post-op care.
