Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw names her niece Claire Mazumdar as successor at Biocon

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Founder and Chairperson of Biocon, has named her niece Claire Mazumdar as her successor at the company. "I've seen my niece Claire as my successor, because I think she has proved to me that she can run a company," Mazumdar-Shaw told Fortune India. Claire, who is 37 years old, serves as founder-CEO of Biocon-incubated Bicara Therapeutics.
