Late Indian playback singer and actor, Kishore Kumar's real name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly, which he changed when he started his career as a chorus singer at the Bombay Talkies film studio. Kishore Kumar, who is music composer Bappi Lahiri's maternal uncle, wasn't formally trained in singing. Kumar passed away due to a heart attack on October 13, 1987.
