KITU opposes Karnataka move to remove women’s night-shift rules

KITU has opposed the government's removal of statutory safety safeguards for women working night shifts. The union said provisions covering driver verification, vehicle tracking, emergency assistance, route monitoring and security have been removed. KITU General Secretary Suhas Adiga demanded the immediate withdrawal of the amendment and the restoration of all safety measures for women employees.
