KMRC seeks ₹2,265 cr funding for East-West Metro extension

The long-delayed East-West Metro extension to Haldiram may finally be on track as the Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation (KMRC) has approached the Central Government for full funding to the tune of ₹2,265 crore. This strategic 6.6-km stretch from Sector V to Haldiram is expected to transform connectivity across Kolkata’s eastern corridor.
