Kodagu prepares for flood, landslide risks this monsoon

Ahead of the southwest monsoon, Kodagu Deputy Commissioner S. J. Somasekhar has directed officials to strengthen disaster preparedness in flood and landslide-prone areas. Rescue teams have been formed and relief centres set up, amid concerns that intense short-duration rainfall could trigger disasters similar to those witnessed in the district between 2018 and 2020.
