Kolkata pandal honours women's safety on Mahashtami

Devotees gathered at Kendua Shanti Sangha in Kolkata on Mahashtami to offer prayers during the 53rd Durga Puja. The pandal, themed 'Aishwaryi' (Goddess), draws inspiration from Satyajit Ray's 1960 film Devi, highlighting women's safety and societal challenges. Samiti president Sanjib Chatterjee said the pandal took three months to construct.
