Kolkata professor held for forwarding Mamata Banerjee's cartoon acquitted after 10 yrs

Kolkata professor Ambikesh Mahapatra, who had been arrested for forwarding a cartoon allegedly aimed at state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in April 2012, has been acquitted after more than 10 years. Mahapatra had forwarded cartoon of Banerjee and TMC leader Mukul Roy after latter became Railway Minister replacing Dinesh Trivedi. A court discharged him of the charges on Friday.
