Kolkata roads named after Karl Marx, Lenin may get renamed

A committee set up by the West Bengal government is considering several proposals to rename roads and public places in the state. These also include three prominent roads in Kolkata named after communist leaders Vladimir Lenin, Karl Marx, and Ho Chi Minh. BJP leader Tathagata Roy proposed re-naming the Marx Sarani after Bengali poets Michael Madhusudan Dutt or Rangalal Bandyopadhyay.
