Kolkata's Red Road shut for 8 days as city prepares for Yoga Day

Kolkata Police has closed Red Road for eight days from June 14 ahead of the International Yoga Day event on June 21, which is expected to be attended by PM Narendra Modi. Traffic diversions have been announced across central Kolkata from 2 am on June 21. Notably, Red Road was seen empty on Bakrid for the first time in decades.
