Kolkata Sarod maestro flees Bangladesh after Chhayanaut attack

Kolkata-based sarod maestro Shiraz Ali Khan fled Bangladesh and hid his Indian identity after unrest erupted around Dhaka's cultural hub Chhayanaut, where he was to perform. The recital was cancelled after the venue was vandalised. Calling the incident traumatic, he said the attack was an assault on shared culture and heritage.
