K'taka BJP MLA's son sent to 14-day custody in ₹40-lakh bribe case

The son of Karnataka BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa, Prashanth Madal, has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a Lokayukta court in a bribe case. Lokayukta officials arrested Prashanth on Thursday after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe of ₹40 lakh. Notably, around ₹6 crore cash was allegedly recovered during a raid at his residence in Bengaluru.
