K'taka CM extends scholarship scheme to children of weavers, fishermen

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced the extension of the Raitha Vidya Nidhi scholarship scheme for children of weavers and fishermen families for this year as well. "Hostel facilities would be provided for students from fishermen families," he added. The scheme was launched in August 2021 to provide scholarships to the children of farmers to help them pursue higher education.
