K'taka firm earlier led by MLA part of ₹20-cr scam: Govt document

Karnataka Soaps and Detergent Limited (KSDL) is involved in an alleged scam of ₹20 crore related to the procurement of substandard raw material for its products including the Mysore Sandal Soap, a government document revealed. This comes days after former KSDL Chairman and BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa's son Prashanth Madal was arrested when he was caught accepting a ₹40-lakh bribe.
