K'taka may deploy medical students to fight COVID-19 in B'luru

Karnataka government is considering using services of house surgeons appearing for PG exams from 17 medical colleges in Bengaluru amid rising coronavirus cases in the city, said state's Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar. Government is also planning to "tap into the base of final-year MBBS students" for deploying them at COVID-19 care centres, said Dr Sudhakar.
