Kullu sees influx of visitors amid heatwave; 27,000 vehicles enter district

There has been a sharp rise in number of visitors to Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district amid intense heat across northern India. Kullu SP Madan Lal Kaushal said 25,000 to 27,000 small and large vehicles have entered the district in recent days. "To manage the traffic and tourist rush, around 150 police personnel have been deployed in Manali alone," he said.
