Kumar Mangalam Birla took ₹22.5 crore salary from UltraTech

Cement major UltraTech's Chairman and Non-Executive Director Kumar Mangalam Birla received an annual remuneration of ₹22.50 crore in 2016-17. Birla's remuneration from UltraTech saw an increase of 18.2% from the previous financial year. Notably, his remuneration was in contrast to just ₹3.3 lakh he earned from his group's telecom arm Idea Cellular.
