Kumbh can't be compared to Tablighi event, there were no checks then: U'khand CM

On being asked why Kumbh Mela was allowed while Tablighi Jamaat event at Nizamuddin Markaz was blamed for spreading COVID-19, Uttarakhand CM Tirath Rawat said the two events "can't be compared". He added, "Kumbh attendees haven't come from outside (the country), they're our own devotees. There was no checking back then. Nobody knew since when people started gathering [at Markaz]."
