Kuwait court upholds death sentence in child assault case

Kuwait's Appeals Court upheld the death sentence of a Kuwaiti citizen convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a nine-year-old Syrian boy. The child was targeted while going for Eid prayers in Maidan Hawalli. The accused was arrested within 24 hours and was found to have previous convictions in similar kidnapping and sexual assault cases.
