Lab gloves contain 1000x more microplastics than expected: Study

Scientists at Michigan University found that common nitrile and latex gloves release tiny particles called stearates, which resemble microplastics and can contaminate testing samples. However, when the samples were tested, the number of detected microplastics was 1000x higher than expected. Notably, researchers recommended using cleanroom gloves, as they release far fewer particles.
