Ladakh filmmaker Stanzin Jigmet wins Student Oscar for 'The Dragon Letter'

Stanzin Jigmet, a filmmaker from Ladakh, won the Gold Award for his film 'The Dragon Letter' at the 53rd Student Academy Awards on Monday. "From the remote village of Mulbekh in Ladakh to the Academy, this journey feels unreal," Jigmet said about the award. The ceremony took place at the Toronto International Film Festival and received 2,972 submissions from students.
