Ladakh groups give non-negotiable list to MHA, demand Assembly

Representatives from two Ladakh civil society groups, Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance, submitted a list of non-negotiable demands to the Home Ministry ahead of a formal meeting in September. The list seeks a Legislative Assembly that is directly elected and has financial powers. Activist Sonam Wangchuk and Ladakh MP Mohmad Haneefa Jan were also present at the meeting.
