Ladakh L-G welcomes Wangchuk's release, says 'no room for agitation in Ladakh'

Ladakh Lt Governor VK Saxena on Saturday welcomed the Centre's revocation of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's detention under the National Security Act, calling it a positive step for the region. "There is no place for agitation, bandhs, or violence in Ladakh. Such actions do not contribute to meaningful progress," Saxena stated. Wangchuk was detained on September 26, 2025.
