Ladakh LG withdraws cases against 20 in Leh violence

Ladakh LG VK Saxena approved withdrawal of criminal cases against 20 individuals linked to September 24, 2025 violence in Leh, under Section 360 of BNSS. Cases were withdrawn on Ladakh Police's recommendation. The Leh violence, during protests for statehood and Sixth Schedule safeguards, left four dead. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk declared September 24 as Shaheed Diwas.
