IPL Founder Lalit Kumar Modi took to X to wish Vijay Mallya as he turned 69 on December 18. "Wishing you my friend #vijaymallya a very #happybirthday - life sure has its ups and downs we've both seen it. This too shall pass," Lalit wrote. Mallya responded, "We both have been wronged in a Country we tried to contribute to."
