Land being sold for as low as ₹8/square metre in Swedish town

A town in Sweden called Götene is selling several plots of land with prices starting at 1 krona (₹7.9) per square metre. The land is being sold due to a slow housing market, ageing population and low birthrates, Mayor Johan Månsson said. The bidding process had to be paused after authorities received thousands of calls for the land, he added.
