Land worth ₹100 crore freed from late gangster Atiq Ahmed's gang in Prayagraj

The Prayagraj district administration has reclaimed 38 bighas of gram sabha land, worth over ₹100 crore, that had been grabbed by a gang led by the late gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. The gang had fraudulently registered 14 plots under different associates' names. Notably, Atiq was shot dead by three men while being taken for medical by police in Prayagraj in 2023.
