Landslide blocks Kedarnath route in Rudraprayag, over 1,500 pilgrims evacuated

Around 1,500 pilgrims stranded on the Kedarnath route near Rudraprayag's Chirbasa were rescued and escorted to Gaurikund after a landslide blocked the route. Joint teams comprising State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out the rescue operation. The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand remained suspended for the second consecutive day due to rains.
