'Langar Baba', 'Chacha Sharif' among 122 to be awarded Padma Shri

While announcing Padma Awards, the government announced that Jagdish Lal Ahuja and Mohammed Sharif are among the 122 winners of Padma Shri. Popular as 'Langar Baba', Jagdish serves free food daily to poor patients outside Chandigarh's PGIMER, while Mohammed Sharif or 'Chacha Sharif' performed the last rites of 25,000+ unclaimed bodies in and around Faizabad over the past 25 years.
