Language can’t be forced: Meghalaya Minister on Mira Road row

Meghalaya Minister AL Hek condemned the Mira Road incident where a shopkeeper was attacked for not speaking Marathi. “One cannot force anyone to speak a particular language in any part of India", he said urging respect for linguistic freedom and cautioning against blaming entire communities for individual actions.
