Largest cosmic explosion ever identified by astronomers

Astronomers have identified the largest-ever explosion observed in space which was 10 times brighter than a supernova. The explosion, known as AT2021lwx, was first detected in 2020 and has continued erupting since then, a study said. Possibly caused due to a vast cloud of gas colliding with a black hole, the explosion took place nearly 8 billion light years away.
