Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga became the first bowler in international cricket to take four wickets in four balls on March 28, 2007. Malinga achieved the feat against South Africa in the World Cup, dismissing Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall, Jacques Kallis and Makhaya Ntini in four consecutive deliveries. Malinga almost dismissed Charl Langeveldt with a yorker off the subsequent ball.
