Last batch of militant group GNLA in Meghalaya surrenders

The remaining cadres of militant organisation Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) on Thursday surrendered to the Meghalaya government, state Home Minister James Sangma said. The militants are also said to have handed over two AK 56 rifles, one INSAS rifle, a Glock pistol, a semi-machine gun, a .303 rifle, a 9 mm pistol, and a large quantity of ammunition.
