Late-stage funding drops to $6.6 bn in 2024 from $7.7 bn in 2018: Report

A report by Blume Ventures showed that late-stage startup funding dropped to $6.6 billion in 2024 from $7.7 billion in 2018 despite the overall capital seeing a rise. Late-stage funding rounds, as a percentage of overall startup funding, also dropped to 59% in 2024, compared to 70% in 2018. Startup funding reportedly peaked in 2021 when startups raised $37.4 billion.
