Late step in the right direction: Mayawati on caste census

BSP chief Mayawati on Wednesday welcomed government's decision to include caste enumeration in the next census exercise and said, "The decision…is a late step in the right direction." She added, "It is hoped…the government will definitely implement this decision of people's welfare through census on time." She further said her party has been demanding caste census for a long time.
